 THE MUSICIANS OF STERLING CLASSICAL ENSEMBLES are graduates of the Juilliard Music Conservatory, Harvard University and the Manhattan School of Music. They specialize in weddings and have performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Plaza Hotel, the Whitney Museum, Citicorp Center and Tavern on the Green. They also provide the music for the annual Valentines Day wedding marathon at the Top of the World Trade Center, which is broadcast on all major television and radio stations. In addition, they have appeared on Fox TVs Good Day New York and on QVCs special Monet Show.
OUR JAZZ ENSEMBLES feature renowned bass player and pianist David Grossman. A graduate of the Juilliard Conservatory, David regularly plays with Wynton Marsalis and has performed on the Jerry Lewis Telethon and for President Clinton. He is also featured on Marcus Roberts Sony recording entitled Time and Circumstance. Our combos specialize in classic and contemporary jazz, and their repertoire includes standards by Ellington, Gershwin, Cole Porter, and many others.
ALLEGRA KLEIN, FOUNDER AND MUSIC DIRECTOR of Sterling Music Ensembles, is a classically-trained violinist and an honors graduate of Harvard University. She has worked for Carnegie Hall and Sony Classical, and is currently managing the Marlboro Music Festival, which serves as a summer retreat for some of the worlds most renowned classical musicians. Allegra has been providing music for weddings and other special events since 1988.
